Both the doctor and the nursing staff involved kept me fully informed throughout the procedure, providing welcome reassurance at those key moments where it was most appropriate, and in sync with the internal activity taking place inside my colon. If I didn’t know different I would swear that they were undergoing exactly the same investigative procedure simultaneously as mine, given the timing of their commentary! Having now experienced a water assisted colonoscopy in 2021, I can speak favourably on the experience when compared to that of the air assisted colonoscopy I had back in 2016. Whilst there was some cramping, it was minimal in comparison to the extent I endured previously; although it should be said that I was able to complete both procedures without the need for either sedation or support from gas and air.

I was a little apprehensive about having the Colonoscopy procedure but Dr Mankotia explained everything to me very clearly. based on his advice I was able to decide whether I wanted a sedative or not. I chose not to have it and that was the right decision because I was able to function capably afterwards and not have to depend on someone to be with me for the rest of the day. Although I chose to have the gas and air, I did not really need it vey much. I felt a little discomfort periodically but it went away very quickly. I was very surprised at how easy and painless the procedure was. Throughout the procedure the doctor and team were very professional and really put my mind at ease. I would recommend this procedure without reservation.

The service I had during my 4 day admission into Sandwell general hospital was great, friendly and first class. Mr Rajnish Mankotia and his team gave great advise answered all my questions which luckily I didn’t end up this time needing surgery.

It's difficult to suggest any way the treatment I received could have been improved. From start to finish Mr Mankotia and his team (in fact I would extend this to all the staff at the Quadram ) treated me with kindness, respect and understanding . 1% pay rise is shameful.
